The Joo Chiat stretch is probably one of the most prolific neighbourhoods for Vietnamese food. The street is littered with numerous authentic eateries including one of the most classic spots for Vietnamese sandwiches in Singapore, 233 Banh Mi.
It’s well known that the French can be somewhat uppity when it comes to their proud culinary heritage. Hence it’s no small feat that Nonette, a Parisian Banh Mi deli, has become a huge hit on French home turf.
Ang Mo Kio is not a place you’d normally think to venture out for a food adventure. I actually had the same sentiments — until I discovered Banh Mi Saigon.
